Project Isaiah 62

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,
till her vindication shines out like the dawn,
her salvation like a blazing torch

You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand,
a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

They will be called the Holy People,
    the Redeemed of the Lord;
and you will be called Sought After,
    the City No Longer Deserted.

Project Isaiah 62 offers holistic care for pregnant teens and works to prevent adolescent pregnancy through education, community outreach, and church support. The program saves lives and empowers girls to break the cycle of poverty and pursue their futures.

OUR GOALS:

Goal 1: Support pregnant adolescents through pregnancy and beyond to achieve independence and a lifestyle that will sustain them and their child

By providing holistic care for girls in crisis, Project Isaiah 62 saves lives and ends the cycle of poverty for single mothers.

Goal 2: Reduce the number of teenage pregnancies in our community

Prevention and education are cornerstones to addressing the crisis. Through our school and church, young women and men are learning how to protect and value themselves and each other.

A powerful story of survival, community, and transformation

RR’s Story: Hope, Loss, and Resilience

RR, a 17-year-old student at Lespwa Lavi Academy, became pregnant in 2024. Through Project Isaiah 62, she received prenatal care, emergency medical support, and mental health counseling. Despite losing her fiancé, she returned to school full time just months after giving birth; the first known case of a teen mom returning mid-year in the region. Her story inspired classmates, strengthened her family’s faith, and proved what’s possible when girls are supported.

Impact: RR believes that Project Isaiah 62 saved the life of her child by providing access to medical care. She states the Bible verse Isaiah 62:7 inspires her “Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work…” RR wrote to us “I was devastated after the death of my child’s father, but now I become more hopeful, I consider myself a champion, I become more focused on my future.” Not only were the lives of RR and her child impacted, but her entire family came to know Jesus through this program and became members of the church. Her younger siblings are inspired to stay in school. Her classmates and teachers marveled at her success in school and recognized the value of supporting girls in crisis.

Year 2 Goals: RR will complete an assessment with her advocate at the conclusion of the school year to determine if her goal of high school graduation is achievable. Following this assessment, recommendations will be made for her to graduate from Project Isaiah 62 and continue in the traditional Lespwa Lavi advocacy program
