Join The Amazing Race
After taking a year off to plan a bigger and better event, we are excited to welcome you back on October 4th for the Amazing Race for Haiti! Just like the television show "The Amazing Race," this action-packed race will lead teams of 2-4 people on a race around downtown Bismarck. From the starting line, teams will receive a clue leading them to a checkpoint somewhere in the downtown Bismarck area. Upon arriving at each checkpoint, teams will be required to complete a task in order to receive the next clue. Tasks are Haiti-themed and will be physically or mentally challenging. The first team to complete all of the challenges successfully and cross the finish line is the winner.
It’s not all about physical skill! Downtown businesses are participating in the checkpoints and making the event fun. Here is your chance to play and compete with friends while experiencing downtown!
This year there will be two options to sign up!
Competitive group: recruit your best team and compete for cash prizes. This group will be moving fast, should expect to run between 2 and 3 miles total (longest stretch ~ 1/2 mile), and complete more difficult challenges.
Recreational group: take your time moving through the challenges and immerse your team in Haitian culture!
Don’t forget the After Party! Finish the course and enjoy music, games and food in Kiwanis Park until 6:30pm!
Why Join the Race?
Kids in Haiti don't have enough schools. Without school there is no hope. No future. Teachers don't have enough jobs. Without jobs there is no way to feed their families. The money raised from The Amazing Race For Haiti will go directly towards the Lespwa Lavi school campus.
If your team signs up for a child sponsorship, you will receive a Fast Forward pass to bypass any challenge in the Race! Child sponsorship costs $1.25/day and changes the life of a child forever…and maybe yours too.

How it works
Amazing Race Rules
Teams must be 2 to 4 racers.
Ages 12+ must register and sign a waiver.
At least one team member must be over the age of 18.
Children under age 12 may accompany teams and they do not need to register.
Child size T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.Participants must obey all traffic and parking laws.
